Community Life Bridge exists to Bridge the Gap of unmet needs for mature adults, enhancing their quality of life and our community.

Community Life Ride is an initiative of Community Life Bridge. It is an affordable, volunteer-driven membership program that pairs a senior who needs a ride with a volunteer who can give one. Community Life Ride serves residents of Hendersonville and Gallatin, with additional expansion planned for 2021. The inability to get to doctor’s appointments, the pharmacy, the grocery store or even to socialize with friends can negatively impact the senior population. CLR assists seniors with door-through-door services that allows those who are sixty years or older, who can get in and out of a car on their own to be able to get to locations in Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, and Gallatin.

Those who are interested in the program can call the office at 615-431-2660 to have an application sent to them. The membership application, combined with a short home visit to get to know the rider and a $25 yearly membership fee allows riders to be enrolled into the program. Members of the program pay just $6 per ride and can go to up to two destinations and take up to three hours. Rides currently take place Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm and are scheduled a week in advance by calling the office. This program has proven to be a great asset to seniors as a supplement to family assistance or as their primary way to get around town.

Volunteering is easy with Community Life Ride! Those interested in volunteering are asked to complete our Volunteer Orientation, a background and driving record check and to drive 2 times per month, signing up for rides that match their availability
